1,5-Naphthalenedisulfonic acid

HPLC Analysis of 1,5-Naphthalenedisulfonic Acid on Amaze TH Mixed-Mode Column
Application description

1,5-Naphthalenedisulfonic acid or Armstrong acid is a fluorescent organic compound. It is one of several isomers of naphthalenedisulfonic acid. We have developed a method for retention of this acid on Amaze TH HPLC column. Method demonstrates good retention and perfect peak shape. The method can be used for analysis other acidic compounds which are retained by combination of HILIC and anion-exchange mechanism. Ionization state of the stationary phase and analyte is controlled by pH of the mobile phase. Method is using volatile mobile phase which is compatible with mass spectrometry.
