Amaze

column horizontal

Amaze is a new line of mixed-mode columns, reflecting years of chemistry optimization by lead scientists in the industry. Amaze columns are suitable for analysis of complex mixtures containing various types of components – polar, non-polar, hydrophobic, hydrophilic, organic and inorganic – within one run.

Amaze SC

Amaze SC is a new bi-modal HPLC column with reversed-phase and cation-exchange properties. The stationary phase has a substituted alkyl chain with multiple polar-embedded groups capable of forming weak complexes with metals and basic molecules. The acidic fragment on the ligand provides strong interaction with basic analytes and allows to analyze a broad range of compounds. Amaze SC column retains basic hydrophilic, basic hydrophobic, hydrophobic acidic, and hydrophobic neutral compounds. The column is compatible with 100% water and 100% ACN and can be used in isocratic and gradient modes. The retention time of analytes is controlled by the amount of ACN, buffer, and buffer pH. The column is reproducible and can be used in method development and validation.

Amaze TR

Amaze TR is a tri-modal reversed-phase cation- and anion-exchange column. It contains a C18 carbon chain, and acidic and basic groups on the surface. All functionalities are assembled in one molecule which guarantees robust selectivity and reproducibility. It is compatible with 100%-organic and 100%-aqueous mobile phase due to multiple polar embedded groups, and resists a collapse of stationary phase in highly aqueous mobile phase. Its carefully designed stationary phase has a high density of ligand, providing a great capacity for neutral, acidic and basic compounds.

Amaze QR

Amaze QR is a quaternary-modal reversed-phase column. It contains hydrophobic chain, aromatic fragments, and acidic and basic groups on the surface. All functionalities are carried within one ligand which is attached to the surface. The column is designed to separate a wide range of compounds within a single run. Compounds are retained and separated by a combination of reversed-phase, pi-pi, cation- and anion-exchange mechanisms. Retention time and selectivity can be adjusted by using various organic solvents (acetonitrile vs. methanol), buffer pH and buffer concentration. Multi-modal interaction allow to separate compounds that differ even slightly in chemical and physical properties. The synergy of multiple interaction makes much greater difference than single mode separations. All ingredients of mobile-phase composition are important in finding right conditions for toughest separations.

Amaze TH

Amaze TH is tri-modal HILIC and cation- and anion-exchange column designed to separate polar neutral, polar acidic, polar basic, hydrophobic acidic and hydrophobic basic compounds in one run. All functionalities are carried within one ligand which is attached to the surface. The strength of basic and acidic groups can be adjusted by the pH of the mobile phase, allowing to retain compounds even with weak ionizable groups. Highly polar and ionizable groups on the surface allow HILIC separation with lower concentration of ACN, which helps to significantly increase capacity of the column and loadability of compounds during analysis. Retention time for compounds can be adjusted by amount of organic, buffer pH and buffer concentration. Nature of the buffer can be used in some cases to find final tuning for separation of critical pairs of compounds.

Amaze HD

Amaze HD is a bi-modal column designed to retain compounds by a combination of cation-exchange and hydrogen bonding mechanisms. Column can be used in normal, HILIC or cation-exchange modes, depending on the mobile phase composition. Column is fully compatible with all organic solvents and with 100% water. The column offers alternative selectivity to traditional reversed-phase and HILIC columns. The surface contains polymeric ligand with strong hydrogen donor groups as well as strongly acidic functionality.

Amaze HA

Amaze HA is a bi-modal column designed to retain compounds by a combination of anion-exchange and hydrogen bonding mechanisms. Column can be used in normal, HILIC or anion-exchange modes depending on the mobile phase composition. Column is fully compatible with all organic solvents and 100% water. The column offers alternative selectivity to traditional reversed-phase and HILIC columns. The surface contains polymeric ligand with strong hydrogen acceptor groups as well as basic functionality.

New Products:

Helix Chromatography is introducing three aromatic-RP mixed-mode stationary phases for retention and separation of aromatic and non-aromatic compounds by a combination of reversed-phase and pi-pi interactions. Designed to separate compounds based on the enhanced aromatic interactions with specially designed stationary phases these columns provide unique selectivity compared to other stationary phases. The strength of interaction depends on aromatic substitutions of analytes. These stationary phases show different selectivity with  MeOH vs. ACN. Compatible with all mobile phases with pH 1.5-7. Columns and methods are fully compatible with UV and MS detection.

Amaze PFP is a stationary phase with a long alkyl chain and the polyfluorinated aromatic ring at the end of the alkyl chain. The stationary phase has several polar-embedded groups for enhanced selectivity and for better stability in highly aqueous mobile phases. Highly reproducible and stable in 100% organic and 100% water. Designed to separate aromatic compounds based on specific p-p, and dipol-dipol interaction between analytes and substituted aromatic ring. Suitable for separation of structural isomers of aromatic compounds. Retains hydrophobic non-aromatic compounds based on pure reversed-phase interactions. Can be used as an alternative approach when a difference from pure reversed- selectivity is desired/required. Interact differently with analytes with electron-withdrawing and electron-donating groups. Available in 3, 5, and 10 um particles.

Amaze AR is a stationary phase with a long alkyl chain and a substituted aromatic ring at the end of the alkyl chain.

Amaze SPF is a stationary phase with an alkyl chain and two polyfluorinated aromatic rings as a “sandwich-type” stationary phase ligand. The stationary phase has several polar-embedded groups for enhanced selectivity and better stability in highly aqueous mobile phases. Highly reproducible and stable in 100% organic and 100% water. Two polyfluorinated rings show a unique selectivity compared to single ring columns like Amaze PFP and Amaze AR as well as traditional reversed-phase and i-pi columns.  Designed to separate aromatic compounds based on specific pi-pi interaction between analytes and two substituted aromatic rings. Suitable for separation of structural isomers of aromatic compounds. Retains hydrophobic non-aromatic compounds based on pure reversed-phase interactions. Interact differently with analytes with electron-withdrawing and electron-donating groups. Available in 3, 5, and 10 um particles.
